Welcome to Smoky Mountain Lodging
Within the Great Smoky Mountain National
Park there are no hotels or rental cabins
except for Le Conte Lodge. The Lodge is
located on top of Mount Le Conte, is
accessible only by a trail. The real choker
here is that reservations have to be made,
quite often up to a year in advance.

There are a whole series of Park Service Camp
sites and quite a few private campgrounds. For

Motel and Hotel prices can vary and there are
all sorts of independent motels in a number of
the gateway towns to Great Smoky and around
Great Smoky, Maggie Valley and Bryson City
appear to have some of the cheapest.
As a major tourist region, the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park region has a great many
mid range chain motels. These can be found, not
within the park as has been stated but in the
gateway towns surrounding the park.
The main source of accommodation and the one for
which the area has become synonymous and famous
for is the Log Cabin. These are a great option
for families and the romantic amongst us and
they can be found everywhere. Many of these
rental cabins are in forest settings providing a
sharp relief to the more modern highway style
motels.
For Grand scale Mountain Lodges then Gatlinburg,
Pigeon Forge and Townsend are the areas for
these and quite a few come with all sort of
serviced amenities. As you will see from the
adverts peppered throughout this site there are
no shortage of Cabin Suppliers.
